For the film festival circuit, this was supposed to be the year when Gazaand the Middle East faded into the background. 

Belarusian filmmaker Andrei Kutsila’s “Letters From the Silenced Country,” a DW, ZDF/Arte and TVP co-production, will have its world premiere at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival – a first for DW.

The Sundance Film Festival is getting ready for a major change and it will take thousands of volunteers to help make it happen.
