Karol G is the big winner at the 2024 Billboard Latin Music Awards, taking home eight trophies including Global 200 Latin Artist of the Year and Tour of the Year. Her song “Qlona” with Peso Pluma won Hot Latin Song of the Year; Hot Latin Song of the Year, Vocal Competition; and Streaming Song of the Year.
Bad Bunny won six awards, including Entertainer of the Year and his album No one knows what will happen tomorrow was named Latin Album of the Year and Latin Rhythm Album of the Year, while his song “Mónaco” won Sales Song of the Year. Peso Pluma also won six awards: In addition to the three he won with Karol G for the hit “Qlona,” he also won Hot Latin Song Artist of the Year (male); Mexican Regional Artist of the Year, Solo; and Songwriter of the Year author.
None of the three attended the awards ceremony, which was broadcast on Telemundo on Sunday (October 20).
In attendance was Fuerza Regida, who won four awards including Mexican Regional Album of the Year baby pallas and bellicadaas well as Mexican Regional Artist, Duo or Group of the Year, and Hot Latin Songs Artist, Duo or Group of the Year. “Thank you all so much for your continued support,” they said when accepting one of the awards.
Also in attendance was Harvey, who won the coveted New Artist of the Year award. The young Mexican music star walked on stage in some disbelief to accept his trophy. “I can’t believe it. I’m really excited to be selected and I’m so grateful to everyone who supported us and believed in us from the beginning,” he said with a heavy sigh. “I became emotional, partnerbut really, thank you all.
The 2024 Billboard Latin Music Awards are the 31st annual awards show produced by Telemundo and Country Radio and hosted by Carmen Villalobos and Danilo Carrera at Mediapro Studios in Miami Beach, Florida. The opening ceremony kicked off with a performance by Luis Alfonso, who sang his hits “Tequila con Cerveza” and “Chismofilia”, which included J Balvin, Yandel, Gloria Trevi, Maria Becerra, Grupo Niche , Fuerza Regida and Chencho Corleone.
Three international icons received special awards: Pepe Aguilar received the Billboard Hall of Fame Award, J Balvin received the Billboard Spirit of Hope Award, and Alejandro Sanz (Alejandro Sanz) received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Latin Billboard Music Awards are the only awards honoring the most popular albums, songs and performers in Latin music. advertising billboardweekly chart.
