The film previously won awards at the Berlin International Film Festival where it premiered, as well as wins at the Gotham Awards, New York Film Critics Circle Awards and the National Board of Review Awards.

This year’s IDA Documentary Awards nominees were selected from more than 700 works from 77 countries, an increase from last year, and in both feature and shortlist categories, from the shortlist announced on October 24 selected.
