Sony Pictures isn’t wasting any time.
The studio announced Thursday that it will open 28 years later: Temple of Bones Released on January 16, 2026, Martin Luther King’s long holiday weekend begins. The film is the second installment in Danny Boyle and Alex Garland’s planned zombie apocalypse trilogy.
Earlier this month, Sony released the first trailer 28 years laterthe long-awaited sequel to the cult classic 28 days later The film will be released on June 20, 2025.
This time, Nia DaCosta is directing, and Boyle and Garland reteamed to write the script. The two upcoming films were shot back-to-back.
