The Critics’ Choice Association (CCA) today announced the nominees in the television category for the 30th annual Critics’ Choice Awards.
The winners will be announced at a star-studded Critics’ Choice Awards party hosted by Chelsea Handler, which will air live on E! Departing from Buck Hangar in Santa Monica on Sunday, January 12, 2025 (7:00 – 10:00 PM ET/PT).
The show will also air on Peacock the following day.
“Shogun” (FX/Hulu) leads the field among television contenders at the 30th annual Critics’ Choice Awards with six nominations.
The show won the award for Best Drama Series, and the cast was recognized in multiple categories, including Hiroyuki Sanada for Best Actor in a Drama Series and Anna Sawai for Best Actress in a Drama Series.
Tadanobu Asano and Hiroyuki Hirato are up for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Xing Menghua is expected to win the Best Supporting Actress Award in the TV Series category.
“Abbott Elementary” (ABC), “Disclaimer” (Apple TV+), “The Crackers” (HBO | Max), “The Diplomat” (Netflix), “Penguin” (HBO | Max) and “In the Shadows” What to Do (FX) were not far behind with an impressive four nominations each.
“Abbott Elementary,” “The Crackers” and “What We Do in the Shadows” will compete in the best comedy series category, while “Disclaimer” and “Penguins” will compete for best limited series, while “Diplomacy” “The Official” won the award for Best Drama Series.
