Much of the content on this site is dedicated to education, whether it’s insights, experiences, reviews or news. But another important component of any filmmaker’s creative journey is inspiration. I always advise filmmakers to consume as much content as possible so that they can passively be inspired and taught the language of film and imagery. One of the easiest ways to get more visual inspiration like this is through – you guessed it, Instagram.
Filmmakers and DPs to Follow on Instagram
While Instagram photos obviously can’t replace the inspiration that comes from watching a great movie or reading a great script, they can still give us valuable insight into the work of some of the best filmmakers out there. Personally, when I’m looking for inspiration for a script, an idea, or a certain look, I often use images to stimulate my thought process and get the creative juices flowing.
