The train derailment has just begun and we have some spoilers for 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 Episode 2.
Lone Star promises us an epic three-episode premiere, including a huge challenge for all of its characters.
We got our first look at what’s to come in 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 Episode 1, but this hour only scratched the surface.
The train derailment is one of the series’ biggest appeals
The series goes all out for one of the most harrowing and technical calls to date.
With the train derailment taking place, the show has a ton of elements to explore, with all characters playing their part to save the world.
Unfortunately, we’ve seen the severity of the derailment and what happens to the trains and anything and anyone they seize.
In the Season 1 premiere, we mostly saw the funny little cases and phone calls that precipitated the rivalry between Marion and Paul, and Part 2 delves deeper into the cataclysmic event.
That could force Marion and Paul to put their rivalry aside, focus on the wreckage in front of them, and do whatever they can to help.
The trailer teases a downright apocalyptic event, with black smoke billowing from train cars scattered around and debris everywhere.
The scene itself looks larger than 126, and may need more than just them to keep everything under control.
In fact, firefighters were scattered around the derailment site, seemingly following a massive explosion.
Sure, some of them might be our favorite characters, but others are from other houses based on the color of their jackets.
The impact of train derailments is far-reaching and multi-layered
This call isn’t simple, and we’ve seen a lot of that in the promo.
It’s off the tracks, but then there’s the issue of not knowing what’s inside the train, which causes other problems.
The promo mentions a big explosion and more fires, which is to be expected.
One or both of these may be the reason why Irving is alarmed about the members of his squad and their safety.
These incidents may put some of them in immediate life-threatening danger.
However, Tommy and TK may also have their hands full due to the far-reaching consequences of this infidelity.
We see Tommy looking up to the sky in wonder, clearly worried about what is about to happen.
We also see TK trying to outrun something while running toward another potential emergency with a rebound in hand.
A yellow cloud appears in the promo, catching the eyes of some characters and making them worried.
Lieutenant race gets complicated
Judging from the stills released from “9-1-1: Lone Star” Season 5 Episode 2, it seems that Owen is still trying to decide who to choose as his lieutenant.
But Wyatt’s presence could derail Irving’s plans.
Will Judd ever get back to work?
As the synopsis teases the possibility of Wyatt going to Owen himself, asking Owen to allow Judd to return to his old position at the Fire Department.
Both Marian and Paul fear this is possible, but will it come true?
We already know that Owen would love nothing more than to have his brother in his arms back with him, as he was initially the most unhappy about Judd’s departure.
Ever since Wyatt left and Grace left, Judd has been itching to get back into the game and find some semblance of purpose.
Marian and Paul have been competing against each other these days, and now we have to wonder if this game will become a three-man game instead of a two-man game.
Does Judd have to play, or is this a spot he can take because he’s held it before?
Mateo is the only one who doesn’t seem too bothered by this whole ordeal, but then again, it’s Mateo; he’s Mateo. Do we expect less?
‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ Season 5 Episode 2 spoilers reveal Tommy’s relationship comes under scrutiny
The synopsis teases that Tommy will make a bold move in her relationship with Trevor.
From what we know and see, these two are so happy together that it’s probably disgusting in the best way possible.
Whatever happened in their relationship, Tommy was inspired.
She wanted to make a decision that seemed to come to light during the installment.
They’ve made relatively steady progress since Trevor first appeared in the series, and they’ve been able to overcome their respective issues.
Tommy has been able to make space for this new man in her life and heart while still mourning the death of her late husband.
These two have been on such a great path, and we can only hope that all the stress Tommy endured during this hour leads to a positive and happy outcome for her and Trevor.
