Dispatch, we do have a problem!
It’s been one hell of a ride, but the three-part premiere of “9-1-1: Lone Star” ends with a thrilling train derailment.
Luckily for us, we got an exclusive sneak peek of tonight’s episode!
Train derailment is a multi-layered disaster
Ironically, 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 Episode 1 only introduced the train derailment arc, which introduced us to most of the characters.
But this disaster turns into many smaller disasters, some of which you can’t prepare for, so you can’t miss this moment!
We already saw in 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 Episode 2 how a train derailment was caused when an employee choked on a sandwich and passed out.
If you recall, one of the most devastating events at the beginning of 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 1 Episode 1 was a massive explosion that killed the original 126 employees due to one employee getting hungry Most of them died.
By now, we know that hungry, overworked employees don’t do anything good!
This accident has caused a lovely father to be trapped under the rubble of the explosion and almost died.
Fortunately, Mateo saves him, making it possible for him to be safely reunited with his daughter.
But we have many other events to worry about.
9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 Episode 3 Must Solve Two Major Cheating Plots
We also have to figure out what happened to that little kid who met that scary zombie-looking lady, right?
But most heart-wrenchingly, we’re all desperate to know what happened to adorable Damon, who jumped on a train to be with his brother for a kidney transplant.
We know Damon was inside one of the trains when it derailed, and there are traces of his belongings in the rubble.
But where is he? We need to know!
Pray for Damon (if you will) and pray that he comes out of this alive!
Toxic gases bring new problems
But the promo (and our exclusive sneak peek) also tells us that the gas from the crash will cause serious problems for everyone.
The yellow smoke that made TK run for his life in the promotional video?
Oh, we’re definitely biting our nails over this.
It also looks like it could lead to TNT being trapped in a room, praying for their lives and making final requests as they fear their end is coming.
But before things get serious and unnerving, we get a more ominous look at what happens when the department realizes the gas is causing a problem.
Mateo first noticed the problem when they published one of the most classic literary representations of death.
You know this one: the death of a blackbird.
Dead crows and crows are never a good sign.
Vision blurs as the team comes into focus (a sign of some great camera work and editing) and they realize that the explosion is the least of their problems!
They were still checking each other for injuries and ringing in their ears when a dead bird landed, and it was clear that 126’s work had just begun.
This is going to be an exciting time!
