DHD’s RM1 Pro is the latest version of its RM1 all-in-one portable audio <a href="https://cinemamix360.com/2026/08/25/smile-seenu-explores-next-generation-filmmaking-with-ai-and-virtual-production/” title=”Smile Seenu explores next-generation filmmaking with AI and virtual production”>production and broadcast device. DHD says the design aim was to bridge the gap between podcast and broadcast. The RM1 Pro introduces additional capabilities, including tighter connectivity with DHD infrastructure at a host broadcasting center.
The RM1 Pro adds core control networking for talkback or on-air signaling. It can operate as a standalone unit, in a voice booth, connected to a workstation, or built into a flight case.
Users can access individual DHD Toolbox configurations and create a user interface tailored to their workflow. RM1 Pro behaves like a standard DHD Series 52-core device, so additional software or features, such as remote faders, can be licensed if or when required.
A remote faders option allows another DHD system to control RM1 Pro channels and vice versa. The RM1 Pro is housed in a compact (210 x 185 x 44 millimeters) and lightweight (1 kilogram) desktop unit. Features include AutoMix, A/D-D/A interfacing, audio preamps, audio mixing, EQ, signal dynamics processing and 48-volt phantom power for microphones.
