renew: The DSLR Movie Guide is now complete and available for digital download! Click here to learn more.
I’ve written extensively on this site about shooting film images with digital SLR cameras, and many of you have written to me asking for more information on the subject. I receive emails almost daily from readers who want a more in-depth analysis of how to achieve a cinematic image when shooting digitally, so I decided to go ahead and create a very in-depth tutorial video on the topic that will be out in three weeks.
This video will be the first in a series that I plan to continue throughout the year, but I really wanted to start with this topic as it’s a great starting point. Here is a short video explaining what I did on this project:
As I mentioned in the video, the tutorial will be available for $65 when it launches, with the first 50 orders (starting today) priced at $45.
Update: The first 50 copies have now been sold! Thank you all for supporting my efforts to share my knowledge with the filmmaking community. The book is currently on regular sale for $65 and will be shipped within a week.
This guide will cover pretty much everything you need to know from start to finish in about 90 minutes, as I’m cramming in the last bits of technical and creative insight that I think are crucial to achieving this cinematic look.
If you’d like to pre-order your copy today, be sure to use the link below and you’ll be notified as soon as the video is released later that month.
