2015 horror movies access It might be about terrible grandparents, but it’s also about leaving love behind. M. Night Shyamalan tells us the story of a family visit from hell. But in fact, this twisty thriller begins before the kids give “Mom” a romantic break.
story

During the visit, the two grandchildren learn that Nana and Bobo are strange and sometimes scary.
main cast

Kathryn Hahn is the mom.
Speedboat!
Shyamalan gives us a family that has been dysfunctional for years. Of course, the mother loves her two children, but she does not love herself. Her parents will never forgive her behavior. She is ostracized for her love interest. Becca tries to reunite her grandparents with her mom.
The family seems to be practicing leaving love behind. The two children have a strained relationship with their absentee father. Becca and Tyler’s journey means reconciliation within the family.
Instead, it was one hell of a “family fun time” trip. When Nana screamed, “Yahtzee!”
it works
Dunagan and McRobbie do a great job playing the grandparents’ eccentricities and setting the tone. So was the initial displacement of “Mama” and her two children.
We felt uneasy from the beginning. Everything felt wrong. Shyamalan provides us with many clues, many of which are almost like fairy tales:
hansel and gretel – The oven in the kitchen, twice. Or, rather, it’s not a fairy tale, Bluebeard – isn’t allowed into a certain room. Before we understand the true extent of the horror, each of these “signposts” leads us to believe that something is amiss with Nana and Pop-Pop.
judgment
access is a solid five star movie. It works on many different levels. Currently streaming on Max. This is a perfect “Halloween” movie. *What? Too soon?
