The restored version of “Through the Olive Trees” directed by Abbas Kiarostami will be screened and discussed at the Cinema Museum of Iran in Tehran
As part of the “Guild Classics” program, the Iranian Film Directors Guild, in collaboration with the Cinema Museum of Iran, will screen the restored version of “Through the Olive Trees” on Tuesday, Honaronline reported.
During the event, “Through the Olive Trees”—considered one of Kiarostami’s most significant works—will be analyzed and reviewed by film critic Saeid Ghotbizadeh. The discussion will explore various aspects of Kiarostami’s cinematic vision, his narrative style, and the film’s position within his artistic career.

“Through the Olive Trees” is a 1994 drama written, produced, edited, and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami. As the final installment of Kiarostami’s Koker trilogy, the story is set in earthquake-devastated Northern Iran and revolves around the making of the movie “And Life Goes On…”, a revisit of his earlier work “Where Is the Friend’s Home?”.
