A teaser trailer for the three-episode My Happy Marriage special has been released, around two months before its newly revealed October 25 release date.
The teaser includes a look at newcomer Kimio Nagaba, a former elementary school classmate of Miyo’s. M.A.O is voicing the character, who seems to be in an unhappy marriage and is hiding something. There’s also a snippet of the theme song “Prelude no Temae ni ~for me&you~” by Kashitaro Ito.
My Happy Marriage is an adaptation of the KADOKAWA-published historical fantasy romance novels written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka. The story sees the mistreated Miyo becoming betrothed to the powerful commander Kiyoka, who is among those with special powers. The first season premiered in 2023, while Season 2 premiered in January 2025 and concluded in early April due to the last two episodes being delayed. An OVA was released in November 2024.
The My Happy Marriagenovel series, which is published under the Fujimi L Bunko label, started in January 2019 and has 10 volumes as of March 2026. There is a Square Enix-published manga drawn by Rito Kosaka and a live-action movie. Yen Press publishes the novels in English.
Netflix will stream the My Happy Marriage special.
