Movie review:
- r96sk: huge improvement over 2002 “Taishan and Jane” – This is an appropriate follow-up. Amazing things happen when you try, isn’t it Disney?
- “Taishan No. 2” Still doesn’t compare to the original 1999 film, but the third (not second, as the title suggests) film in the series is actually quite good. Thankfully, despite being a prequel, there’s a coherent story, and even Glenn Close (Kara) and Lance Henriksen (Kerchak) return to the screen, with Phil Collins scoring the score behind the scenes .
- The premise is fairly simple, but still enjoyable enough to watch. It has heart, substance, and decent humor. It could be bigger, but I still really appreciate the benefits it brings.
- Unlike its predecessor, this is a proper revisiting of the world of Tarzan.
