USA Network is developing a series of adaptations John Grisham’s novel rainmakerthey have already voted Wade Briggs (Foundation, His Dark Materials) in a series of regular roles.
Briggs will star alongside previously announced actors Milo Callahan, John Slattery, speaker madison, Lana Parrilla, PJ Byrne, Robin Karaand Dan Fogler.
The show’s synopsis reads: “Fresh law school grad Rudy Baylor (Callaghan) teams up with courtroom hero Leo Drummond (Slattery) and his law school girlfriend (Iseman) ) face-to-face confrontation.
“Rudy joins his boss and her disheveled paralegal to uncover two interconnected conspiracies surrounding the mysterious death of their client’s son.”
Briggs will play the role of Brad Noonan, who is described as “a high-powered attorney at the Tinley Britt Law Firm and the firm’s managing partner Leo Drummond’s Enforcer”.
rainmaker In June, Seitzman received a series order from the NBCUniversal cable network, capping off a six-year journey that Seitzman took to bring the book to television.
Seitzman and Jason Richman Wrote the pilot script, with Seitzman serving as showrunner. The two serve as executive producers alongside Grisham, Jason Blum and David Gnutt.
This is the second time it has been put on the screen rainmakerthe first film directed by Francis Ford Coppola Matt Damon plays Rudy. I loved that movie and I hope this series ends up being a good show. It brings together a strong cast.
