“entertainment world lend” Lee Kyung-kyu and Joo Byung-jin will appear on a variety show and showcase the legendary back-and-forth. Interest is growing because the two, who rarely meet on variety shows, are appearing together.

The two living legends of the variety world who made a mark on the history of broadcasting in Korea, Joo Byung-jin and Lee Kyung-kyu, will meet in the same place for the first time in 36 years.

On the 5th (Mon) at 8 p.m., tvN STORY ‘Table Tales’ episode 61 will feature Joo Byung-jin and Lee Kyung-kyu, who have led Korea’s variety show history, appearing to openly talk about broadcasting and life.

First, Lee Young-ja and Pak Se-ri, who visited Ikseon-dong, met Joo Byung-jin and served his soul food, “sukiyaki,” and Joo Byung-jin confessed tearfully, “Sukiyaki was the only proud food my mother would make for special days during the severe poverty of my childhood,” evoking deep emotion.

Next comes Joo Byung-jin’s candid update, who was the top star of the 1980s and ’90s and enjoyed his heyday as the “gentleman of comedy.” From behind-the-scenes stories of “Sunday Night – Let’s Learn” with Noh Sa-yeon, to his success and moments of despair as a businessman who dominated the underwear industry with annual sales of 160 billion won, and even his honest feelings about still dreaming of romance while having fears about marriage, he will reveal everything without restraint.

Meanwhile, “entertainment lend” Lee Kyung-kyu meets Joo Byung-jin at a daegutang restaurant in Yeouido that has been his regular place for 40 years and holds memories of his youth, meeting for the first time in 36 years. The initial awkwardness of the meeting lasted only a moment, and when memories of the “Sunday, Sunday night” era were brought up, their fantastic back-and-forth quickly came alive.

In particular, along with the behind-the-scenes story that the legendary corner that shook Korea, “hidden camera,” started from Joo Byung-jin’s idea, an episode about the charismatic senior Joo Byung-jin, whom even the great Lee Kyung-kyu was uniquely afraid of, will also be revealed.

After their hottest heydays, Lee Kyung-kyu, who talks about a “life of endurance” as an active entertainer, and Joo Byung-jin, who is preparing for “well-dying” in a solitary life, have walked different paths, but the life conversation between the two legends who reached the top in the single road of variety is expected to offer viewers deep resonance and laughter at the same time.

Meanwhile, Joo Byung-jin graduated from Chung-Ang University’s theater department and debuted in show business through the 1977 MBC Gag Contest. He later worked as an MC of the most popular variety programs and as a businessman. Lee Kyung-kyu graduated from Dongguk University’s department of theater and film and began his career after debuting through the first MBC Gag Contest in 1981.

Lee Kyung-kyu has been steadily active without a gap for 45 years since his debut and is respected by juniors as the only active performer who still appears on various programs.
