SecondPass Research, an artificial intelligence (AI) research and software development company targeting professional audio for film, television and advertising, plans to raise up to £5 million through a share sale ahead of its proposed admission to AIM.
The company announced on Tuesday that it intends to seek admission to AIM, the London Stock Exchange’s market for smaller and growing companies, with the listing expected in the final three months of 2026.
The fundraising will combine a placing of new shares through AlbR Capital, the company’s corporate broker, with a retail offer through the RetailBook platform at the same price.
The net proceeds will fund the platform’s commercial launch, and the directors expect them to take the company to break-even on earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) without further equity funding.
SecondPass has developed proprietary, patent-pending technology that analyses video and assembles an editable sound design session, and the company says its platform was more than 30 times faster than traditional audio post-production methods in testing.
The platform combines three proprietary AI engines for visual analysis, intelligent sound retrieval and professional assembly, and does not rely on third-party proprietary AI services such as OpenAI, Anthropic or Google.
SecondPass targets the global sound design market, estimated at US$11.85 billion in 2026 and forecast to reach US$21.09 billion by 2034
