Comelt, part of the NGA Group of companies, has introduced the coflex high-technology extrusion die for cast film. Available with a width of 800 mm, the die features a central quick adjustment of the lower die lip, which Comelt says enables manual or automated adaptation of the product thickness within a few seconds and with an adjustment range of ±3.0 mm.
The company says the precise, smooth and low maintenance design of the die enables a constant thickness profile, reduces set-up times and increases the machine availability.
Film processors are said to benefit from stable product quality, less material consumption and higher efficiency.
The coflex die debuted at October’s Fakuma 2026 show.
