Harry Potter returns with immersive audio series

Harry Potter is set to return on November 17, 2026, with the launch of Moments at Hogwarts: The Gryffindor Common Room, the first instalment in a new immersive audio collection from Pottermore Publishing.
The experience will combine narration, original music and sound effects to recreate the atmosphere of one of Hogwarts’ most familiar locations, using Dolby Atmos technology to deliver an immersive listening experience.
Unlike traditional audiobooks, the new Audioscapes collection is designed to help listeners unwind and relax, rather than follow a fast-paced narrative.
Andreina Gomez Casanova, the sound designer behind the project, said the experience aims to make listeners feel as though they are part of the Gryffindor common room.
“You are the protagonist and part of the common room. It’s not just about hearing a story; it’s about the story becoming a part of you, leaving you with a sense of peace and a lingering desire to return to that warm, cosy fire,” Casanova said in a statement.
She added that the team used immersive sound design to create a relaxing environment where listeners could escape, unwind and remain present.
Jennie McCann, managing director of Pottermore Publishing, said the project builds on the company’s experience with the recently released Harry Potter full-cast audiobooks.
While those editions focus on dynamic storytelling, Audioscapes takes a calmer approach, combining extracts from the original books with music and ambient sound.
The creative team includes Natasha Daniels as script editor, Phil Bambos Zacharias as composer, Emily Tran as conductor and arranger, and Eleanor Mein as producer.
Moments at Hogwarts: The Gryffindor Common Room will be available from November 17, 2026.
