The song, which Malone co-wrote, follows “I Had Some Help,” a collaboration with Morgan Wallen, which marks his second No. 1 song on the country show, taking four spots starting in June. Both hits came from his introductory record to the genre, F-1 trillionwhich debuted at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart and the All Genres Billboard 200 chart on August 31, earning 250,000 equivalent album units in the United States. .

“Pour Me a Drink” marks Shelton’s 29th No. 1 country hit, a streak that began when his first, “Austin,” dominated five sets in 2001. His 18th leads the way for several consecutive weeks; “Austin” is his longest-running No. 1 single, followed by “Honey Bee” (four weeks, 2011) and “Some Beach” (four weeks, 2011) 2004-05). The only artists to have multiple No. 1 weeks are Tim McGraw and George Strait, who each had 21, while Kenny Chesney He won 20 times (he set a total record of 33 times).

At the same time, among the 20 songs that will reach the peak of country music play in 2024, “Pour Me a Drink” is only the sixth song to have a multi-frame command. In 2023, 12 of the 19 first-place finishers will be ahead for more than a week.

Post Malone features another song on Country Airplay: fellow F-1 trillion “A Guy for That,” featuring Luke Combs, remains at No. 26 (6.6 million, up 6%).
