Sabrina Carpenter is on fire! The pop superstar has just broken the record for the longest run at number one in a year on the Official UK Singles Chart, proving she’s indeed on top of her game.
Her hit single “Taste” has now spent seven weeks at the top of the UK charts, joining her previous singles “Espresso” (seven non-consecutive weeks) and “Please Please Please” at number one. Five weeks in a row), the diminutive pop star is officially No. 1 in 2024, a 19th week in a row.

“Taste” has proven irresistible, attracting over 6 million plays this week alone, making it the most played song in the UK for its seventh week in a row. It ties Noah Kahan’s “Base Season” for the longest No. 1 ranking in 2024, and with no significant competition, Sabrina’s reign could be extended even further.
Elsewhere on the chart, things get increasingly interesting. Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ mid-career hit “Die With A Smile” is soaring, climbing to a new peak at No. 3.
Meanwhile, Gigi Perez has her first top 10 hit with “Sailor Song,” which jumps five spots to No. 6 this week, garnering plenty of attention in the process.
Sonny Fodera, Jazzy and DOD’s summer anthem “Somedays” is still heating up, jumping two spots to a new peak at No. 8, while Gracie Abrams is inching closer to her first UK top ten with “I Love You, I” name.
Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club” also saw action, rising four spots to 13th.
Not to be outdone, KSI and Trippie Redd are making a splash with their latest single “Thick Of It,” which debuted at No. 14. It’s KSI’s 19th top 40 single and Trippie Redd’s ‘s second single. Meanwhile, Addison Rae continues to rise in the pop music world, with her song “Diet Pepsi” rising seven spots to No. 15, her first UK top 20 single.
Coldplay make a strong return to the Top 20 with the release of a new project, FeelsLikeImFallingInLove re-entering the chart at No. 18 after an absence of 13 weeks moon music. Their song “We Pray” also reached a new peak, reaching No. 20.
