advertising billboard Nominations are currently being accepted for the Chip Hooper Award, which honors the legendary talent agent, father and photographer who played a key role in establishing Paradigm Talent Agency, which was acquired by Wasserman Music in 2021 effect.
Hooper died in 2016 after a battle with cancer. The award was established in 2018 as part of a partnership advertising billboardhis colleague at Wasserman Music and Hooper’s daughter, Valerie Hooperand son, Max Hooper. The award, now in its third year, is presented to a young up-and-comer who serves as an executive in artist representation, management or concert promotion.
In 2018, the first award was awarded to Kelly Sterbarski Founder of Live Nation, he first met Hooper after meeting him at an industry conference; she later quit her job at William Morris in New York to join him in representing Phish and bands like the Dave Matthews Band. 2019, Sarah PolwinkelHe once worked for Paradigm and is currently the senior vice president of Wasserman Music. He received this award.
The Chip Hooper Award will be presented for the third time at this year’s Billboard Live Music Awards, scheduled for November 14 at the One Hotel in West Hollywood. Nominations for the award are now open. While there is no upper age limit, keep in mind that this award is given to rising young professionals.
