Season 7 of “All American” won’t return until 2025, and when it does, it will be very different from the first six seasons.
While the series is on hold, The CW has shared details about the NFL’s upcoming season. With only a handful of original characters returning, this season will be a soft reboot.
We’ve rounded up everything you need to know about All American Season 7, including Daniel Ezra’s character, the return of other original cast members, and the show’s themes.
Is “All American” renewed for Season 7?
Yes, The CW has renewed The NFL for a seventh season in June 2024.
Shortly after, Daniel Ezra announced that he would not be returning as a regular cast member for Season 7, changing the scope of the show to a soft reboot as it would no longer focus on the life of Spencer James.
When will All American Season 7 be released?
Season 7 of “All American” will premiere in 2025, but we’re not sure of the exact date.
Since The CW has announced that it will be airing in the 2024-25 season, it will most likely premiere mid-season.
How does “America’s Strongest” season 6 end?
Everyone in the vortex has completed their journey. We’re grateful to showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll for adding two more episodes so longtime viewers can see Spencer and Olivia get married.
While some parts of All American Season 6 feel rushed, it also has plenty of nostalgic moments. It’s about saying goodbye to actors and characters we’ve grown to care about.
Spencer entered the NFL draft and became the Super Bowl MVP in less than a year. It seems unlikely, but the show wants to show how Spencer can conquer it all.
Seeing Spencer and Olivia get married in James’ backyard was perfect because it was simple and romantic, and their send-off showed how much the town cared about and affected them.
All-American Season 6 is also a critical year for Jordan and Leila. They were both dealing with different grief issues, and Leila realized that her issues with her mom made her afraid of getting married.
They both longed for a place that felt like home when they got married. Laura helped with this by offering them a home in Baker, and Jordan decided to coach the next generation at Crenshaw.
Fortunately, Asher is back to help coach Mrs. Montes with the West Beverly team. It would be fun to see those best friends coach at rival schools.
Patience got an offer from a Broadway musical, and Coop got accepted into Yale Law School, so we thought they were heading east with Spencer and Olivia.
What will “All American” season 7 be about?
Showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll’s goal is to return the show to its origins at West Beverly High and South Crenshaw High.
The official synopsis states, “It’s the same heart, the same NFL dreams, the same cross-town rivalry, the same chaotic hormones, brought to you by a new generation of Los Angeles teenagers, a new Beverley coach and our OG Vortex family, who It’s time to be a responsible adult.
It will be interesting to see them lead the next generation.
Who will return to All American for Season 7?
In September, The CW announced that only three of its original All-American cast members would return as series regulars: Michael Evans Behling (Jordan), Greta Onieogou ( Layla) and Bray-Z (Coop).
We’re not surprised by Jordan and Leila, as Jordan recently accepted a coaching position and Leila hired Jamie to run her club so she can focus on the artistic side of her career.
However, as Patience heads east, I doubt Coop will follow her, so we’ll have to see why she decides to stay in Los Angeles and attend GAU law school.
Several original cast members may make guest appearances in season seven. She will return in the second episode and reunite with Jordan (Michael Evans-Behling) for a special occasion.
While Daniel Ezra (Spencer) is also scheduled to guest star, we can’t confirm if he will appear in the same episode. We can only hope.
Who won’t be back for All American season 7?
Daniel Ezra is the first original cast member to announce that he will not be returning for Season 7. Thank you for the wedding.
“Thanks to Nkechi and the writers, I got my wish. Season 6 is ‘Spencer Goodbye.’ I will miss him. I will miss our cast and crew,” Ezra said.
Ezra’s presence will still be present on the show, as he is scheduled to direct and guest star in a few episodes.
Many other stars will not be returning as series regulars, including Samantha Logan (Olivia), Cody Christian (Arthur), Karima Westbrook (Grace), Monet Mazur Er (Laura) and Chelsea Tavares (Patience).
We hope some of these show up throughout the season, especially as Season 6 wraps up.
Which new characters will be joining All American Season 7?
Coach Mrs. Montez and Coach Arthur probably won’t make many appearances since there’s a new coach in town.
Ossie Ixile (“Black Mirror”) will play Cassius Jeremy, the new football coach at Beverly High School. He was considered a tough coach determined to beat South Crenshaw.
Nathaniel McIntyre (“David Made a Man”) will play Kingston Jeremy, the coach’s son and newly converted quarterback.
In addition, Alexis Chikadze, who plays Pretsch’s daughter Amira, and Antonio J. Bell, who plays Kyle, have been promoted to series regulars.
How many episodes will there be?
Season 7 of All American will have 13 episodes. This has become typical of The CW.
There are rumors that the show will be in its final season.
Where can I watch All American Season 7?
When “All American” returns, it will be on The CW and the CW app.
In the meantime, you can binge-watch all six seasons of the football drama on Netflix.
