Wizkid has teamed up with Brent Faiyaz for his new single “Piece of My Heart”, which was released on Friday (October 18). This is the lead single from Wizkid’s upcoming sixth studio album Morayowill be released on November 22 via Starboy/Sony Music International/RCA Records.
The two artists were recently spotted together in London, with Wiz sharing a clip of the song on Instagram. “Nothing can keep us apart/You have my heart/Nothing can keep us apart (nothing in this world)/You have my heart (girl for you),” Faiyaz sings the chorus.
Wizkid has only been featured in a few collaborations this year, such as “MMS” with Asake on his third album lungu boy “Work Me Out” with Shenseea from her second album, It’s never late here. Faiyaz’s only collaboration this year was with 21 Savage on “Should’ve Wore a Bonnet” from his third album, American dream.
However, both artists share some collaborators, such as Don Toliver, both of whom appear on his 2023 album, Love is sickWiz for “Slow Motion” and Faiyaz for “Bus Stop” – To Tems. The two Nigerian artists collaborated on the Justin Bieber remix of “Essence,” a sexy Afrobeat-meets-R&B hit that peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100.
