The YouTube content creator, who recently participated in a kid-friendly sing-along event with John Legend, took to Instagram on Friday (October 19) to address questions about her best-selling Rachel doll.
The doll ranks No. 1 on Amazon and is so popular that fakes are popping up online, duping shoppers. Ms Rachel addressed the drama head-on in a video in which she explores the differences between her dolls and replicas.
“I’m very sorry that this happened,” she said of the fake doll. “I want to make sure what you’re getting is real, so let’s look at how to tell. This is very important to me because we don’t know if fake dolls are safe,” Ms. Rachel said, explaining her dolls vs. fake ones. characteristics before continuing.
The Authentic Rachel Lady Doll, released by Spin Master, is an interactive touch-activated toy that sings four songs: “Wheels on the Bus,” “Hop Little Bunny,” “I’m So Happy” and “Icky Sticky.” The doll also speaks over 16 iconic phrases, including “Can you say…?” and “I’m so proud of you!”

The Ms. Rachel Speak & Sing Doll ($29.99) is designed for children 6 months to 3 years old and supports conversation and cognitive development. Ms. Rachel worked with child development experts to design the doll. The fake Rachel dolls were apparently sold online through third parties, according to multiple TikTok videos, which were uploaded to Walmart and Amazon.
Luckily, Ms. Rachel has an official Amazon store where parents can purchase her dolls as well as other toys and books, such as her latest bestseller, Ms. Rachel and the special surprise.
