Luca Guadagnino is in final talks to direct a new movie based on Bret Easton Ellis’s 1991 novel, according to reports on Friday american psychopath for Lionsgate. The first film, released in 2000, starred Christian Bale as Bateman, an investment banker who seemed to lead a double life as a serial killer.
“I haven’t played a serial killer yet, so I thought I could,” Koch added, noting that his acting prospects have grown in the last few weeks since his Netflix series debuted. “Things are happening, things are happening, things are happening, meetings are happening, everything is going on, so as we will see, nothing is locked or happening yet.”

Pressman Films’ Sam Pressman (whose father, Edward R. Pressman produced the 2000 film), is executive producing the new version.
