In Elsbeth Season 2 Episode 2, “Fly me to the moon” takes on a whole new meaning. Now that the rich have conquered Earth, their next adventure is into space.
We learn from the promo for the next episode that murders are taking place at the space training station, but not against the astronauts. No, this is for “ordinary citizens”. Because that’s what the space needs.
Leave it to Elsbeth to continue his trend of truly bizarre murders. The series knows its strength is that it incorporates campy elements well.
As usual, the show features plot killers, full of sledgehammer elegance and subtlety. This is also on my murder bingo card and could be Elsbeth’s weapon for season 2.
Despite her beautiful wardrobe, Elsbeth was truly a crazy person
Although the promos didn’t offer us much to work with, the idea that the murders took place on a space training station sparked some curiosity.
If nothing else, this will provide Elsbeth with plenty of new gadgets and gadgets to use as she hunts for clues and intimidate suspects.
It has to be said that Elsbeth has his own knack for judging murder suspects. It’s especially interesting because she does it in a way that lets them know that she knows that they know, you know?
Who else but Elsbeth (Kelly Preston) can perfectly present all the clues to solve the case in front of the murderer? She always had a smile on her face.
Even though Elsbeth’s outfit is crazy, she really is that crazy person. But the show is missing something. Where is the overall plot? Where is the main course at this murder mystery party?
Elsbeth’s first season focuses on Elsbeth’s investigation of possible corruption in Captain Wagner. So far, the only clue to the main plot is the strange SUV parked in Elsbeth at the end of Elsbeth Season 2 Episode 1.
Elsbeth makes her first guest appearance on Shared Wife Universe
The official synopsis for Elsbeth Season 2 Episode 2 reads: “When a billionaire dies in a freak accident during a space training simulation, Elsbeth suspects a vengeful man named Neil. ’s tycoon and fellow wannabe astronaut are responsible.
“Additionally, Elsbeth’s life is turned upside down when she reunites with a former colleague in Chicago.”
As Captain Wagner (played by Wendell Pierce) says in the promo, the space training station is “for ordinary citizens.” So, we knew right away that we were going to have some quirky, rich characters.
While they may be insufferable in real life, the over-the-top characters, with their overwrought dialogue and lack of relatability, are always enjoyable to watch.
However, one thing that cannot be missed is “a former colleague from Chicago.” It looks like we’re finally getting a crossover from The Good Wife universe.
I’d say it’s about time, but every episode of “Elsbeth” features a cast member from “The Good Wife” or “The Good Fight.” However, this will be the first character cameo in the shared universe.
Elsbeth may have an even weirder character on his hands than the titular character
Speaking of actors from the shared universe, we have a rare opportunity. The actor Elsbeth is spoken to in the promo (possibly a murderer) did not appear in The Good Wife or The Good Fight.
Now, there’s a twist, but it’s true. Robert Riegel is brand new to this shared universe, which is surprising considering the actor has been in the industry for nearly three decades.
I’m starting to wonder if there’s an actor out there who hasn’t been in the Fool’s Wife series. I guess Elsbeth is full of surprises.
However, you may recognize the face of the actor and retired U.S. Marine Corps officer. He is known for his roles in Curb Your Enthusiasm, Happy Endings, and Modern Family.
If you’re seeing a trend in Riegel’s acting choices, you’re not alone. This funny man is known for his loud and obnoxious characters, which he’s a little too talented at portraying.
But it would be good for him to know his strengths and exploit them. We may have an even weirder character on our hands than Elsbeth. Emphasis on “power”.
But then again, the show may be trying to attract viewers quickly.
Elsbeth may be on the hunt for two would-be killers in Season 2 Episode 2
Although he doesn’t appear in the promo, there’s a fresh face in the photos from the second episode of Elsbeth Season 2. Whoever this character is, he’s not too ugly to watch.
Elsbeth was delighted with John Bellman’s role in the film. I don’t blame her either, because, damn, that man is handsome.
While Bellman isn’t as experienced or famous as Riegel, he already has some major acting credits to his name.
One of them happens to be Dr. Mann from The Good Wife Season 1 Episode 18. We won’t know until we watch Elsbeth Season 2 Episode 2.
John Behrman has had roles in The Gilded Age, Riverdale and Madam Secretary. He’s a common jack-of-all-trades. Let’s hope he can bring a little magic, especially to Elsbeth.
When you think about it, Elsbeth doesn’t have much involvement in the dating world. She made a brief comment in Elsbeth Season 1 Episode 4, but has remained single since then.
Also, let’s not forget that despite being mentioned several times in Elsbeth’s first season, the main character’s son Teddy is still missing.
I’m not saying he’s a bad son, but I can’t imagine him standing up to someone as sweet as Elsbeth. Even though he never called, she never said anything negative about him.
Now we get to enjoy another episode of Elsbeth’s wonderfully written and acted drama. We have murder in space and the appearance of Mr. Mysterious.
Oh, and the best part. Gonzo, that adorable puppy, makes another cameo appearance. Honestly, give the adorable pooch his own animated animal detective show. I’ll watch it.
No matter what, you know I’ll be glued to my seat and watching every second of this amazing series with you all.
