Music licensing platform Slipstream has acquired Anthem Entertainment’s production music portfolio, which includes three major labels, adding more than 650,000 tracks to Slipstream’s catalog.
The deal covers Anthem’s music production arm jingle punkindependently produced music library 5 alarm clock musicand UK independent production music publisher cavendish music.
Slipstream said the acquisition positions it as “the world’s largest independent music licensing platform.”
slipstream CEO Dan Demore and chief revenue officer Jesse ColvinFounded Slipstream in 2021 and are now returning to the business they previously helped build. DeMoore is the co-founder of Jingle Punks and the Hymn production music groupwhile Coven serves as Managing Director of Jingle Punks.
Pollen Street CapitalA London-based investment management firm provided financing for the acquisition. As part of the transaction, Anthem Entertainment It will maintain its stake in the company through its investment in Slipstream. Slipstream supporters Sony Music Entertainment, Third Prime, and Light Shed Ventures.

The expanded platform will serve a diverse customer base, ranging from individual content creators and small businesses to global brands and enterprises. Slipstream said the acquisition aligns with its goal of simplifying licensing of music for television, film, advertising, gaming, social media and branded music.

For Anthem Entertainment, the sale is consistent with its strategic priorities. CEO Jason Klein Said that since taking over in January 2023, the company has been focusing on its core music publishing and recorded music divisions while evaluating options for its production music business.
