The R-rated buddy comedy has released a fun new trailer, one of the daysStarring Keke Palmer (No) and Grammy Award-winning R&B artist Shenzhen Aviation Association in her acting debut.
Lawrence Lamont First time directing a feature film, the script is written by Siretta Singleton. This project comes from Issare’s Banner hoorah. Singleton and Lamont team up for first time on Rae’s hip-hop drama Rap boo!with Singleton serving as showrunner and Lamont serving as director on a handful of episodes.
The synopsis of the film is as follows: “Best friends and roommates Dreux (Keke Palmer) and Alyssa (SZA) are about to have a great day.
“When they discover Alyssa’s boyfriend has spent all their rent money, the two find themselves going to extremes in a hilarious race against time to avoid eviction and keep their friendship intact.”
The trailer shows the two friends’ efforts to pay for rent, including donating blood, climbing a telephone pole to retrieve a pair of Jordans, and applying for a loan despite a ridiculously low credit score.
Palmer and SZA join cast Lil Rel Howery, Janelle James, Kayla Monterosso Mejia, Maude Apatow, Carter Williams, Joshua Neal, Aziza Scott and Patrick Cagealso Dwayne Perkins, Amin Joseph, Gabriel Dennis and Dominic Perry.
Palmer and SZA team up for the first time saturday night live In a December 2022 episode. Palmer serves as host and SZA serves as musical guest.
