When Donna Mills guest stars on NCIS , you know the show is about to become a reality.
The legendary actress, best known for her iconic role as Abby Ewing on Knots Landing, shows off her signature talents on NCIS Season 22 Episode 3 .
Mills brings a touch of classic TV magic to complement a cast of memorable guest stars including Robert Wagner and Lily Tomlin.
One of the queens of original television, Mills has always been glamorous, ruthless, and never afraid of subversion.
Abby doesn’t just play games; She makes the rules and breaks them when it suits her.
Now, Mills brings that same magnetism to NCIS as Wanda Prescott, an upper-crust antique collector with a mysterious past.
If there’s one thing we can count on, it’s that when Donna Mills steps onto the screen, she’s not there to fit in—she’s there to own the moment.
Halloween spooky stories
As a Halloween episode, NCIS has the perfect blend of suspense, laughs, and holiday spooks.
Parker wholeheartedly enjoys the fun of Halloween, but he’s not as excited as Jesse when trick-or-treaters pop up during his investigation.
It adds levity to the tense atmosphere and sets the stage for a classic NCIS mystery drama.
So, about Hal: Hal is dead, but the real mystery is whether his house belongs to him, or to Bryce Prescott, a SEAL who insists it’s his.
McGee and Torres are as loyal as ever, and they tend to take Bryce at his word – they are all about keeping the “old” team spirit alive.
Parker, meanwhile, is cautious and hoping for evidence.
It’s an interesting dynamic, with Torres and McGee clearly respecting Parker but also retaining Gibbs’ old-school style.
If McGee ends up taking the lead role, will he bring back the classic Gibbs vibe? This is something worth seeing.
Donna Mills adds a touch of glamor to haunted cabins
Here’s your spot for NCIS Halloween fun.
The investigation leads them to a suspected haunted cabin called “Prescott Folly”, where Parker gets a kick out of it, especially as Torres and Jesse are terrified of their visit.
Donna Mills plays Wanda with an air of mystery, but unfortunately the character doesn’t quite bring the high drama of Abby Ewing.
Still, she’s beautiful and gorgeously dressed, adding a touch of elegance to the haunted atmosphere.
Parker, ever the jokester, enjoyed watching Torres and Jesse squirm to get in, and as he and McGee walked to the “safety” of their car, he added a bit of sarcasm: “This is a great deal. job or what?
His ability to balance humor with serious moments—such as when the trick-or-treaters show up—keeps the tone of the episode on point.
When Jesse and Torres find themselves in a room filled with creepy dolls and mannequin heads, Parker’s amusing commentary is priceless, adding a touch of levity to an otherwise disturbing situation.
McGee’s Dilemma
But the haunted cabin isn’t the only “haunting” happening at this time. McGee also had something bothering him.
Clearly still feeling the sting of being excluded from the deputy director position, he understandably reluctantly shared this disappointment with Parker.
While Parker is happy McGee is still with the team, McGee’s sentiment suggests the snub has impacted him more than he’d like to admit.
There aren’t any rifts between him and Parker, but McGee’s loyalty to Gibbs’ legacy may add a layer of frustration.
It’s like he believed things might be different if Gibbs was still around.
The frustration was so real that McGee even began studying LaRoche in depth. That’s not a good thing, even if we know it’s going to happen anyway. But he did it alone, and that’s the problem.
Maybe that’s why he’s so “busy on business” at the Prescott house when Jimmy, Torres, and Jesse have a funny banter about Jimmy’s “ME” costume.
The fact that he decided to focus on LaRoche instead of checking on Ducky with the rest of the team showed that he was heading down a dangerous path.
Because, you know, any other time, he’d be right there.
There will definitely be trouble for McGee and the rest of the team.
duck’s
It’s no surprise that a year later, Ducky’s old office was finally repurposed. But this isn’t just a simple makeover.
Everyone knew what it was supposed to look like, and in true Vance style, he found a way to satisfy everyone, launching a multipurpose room called “Ducky’s” that everyone could enjoy.
It’s a fitting, thoughtful tribute that honors Ducky’s legacy while maintaining the functionality of the team’s space.
Now, let’s talk about Parker.
Personally, I think he should stop giving advice (taking a cue from Jess, who wisely keeps her opinions to herself).
Interestingly, after Vance revealed Ducky’s location to the team, Jesse and Parker tended to sit in the “concession stand” area.
It got me thinking: Are there still unspoken divisions within the team even three years after Gibbs’ death?
If there’s any potential “culprit” for this split, it’s likely McGee – with Torres likely not far behind.
Here’s why: I was surprised by Torres’ dedication to Jesse and Jimmy’s relationship. Sure, he was close to both of them, but his recent curiosity felt like more than just a casual interest.
Then, in the haunted cabin, Torres confides in Jesse the moment he’s ready to get back into the “love” game. Just then, he suddenly had a flash of inspiration – it seemed that he might be interested in Jesse.
this will be a completely disaster.
Jesse and Torres have a strong working relationship and friendship, but what about romantic chemistry? Not so much.
Seriously, would Torres cross that line and go after Jimmy’s girl?
That awkward moment at the crime scene when Torres pitches the gym idea to Jimmy feels out of place, almost like he’s testing the waters or sensing that Jimmy isn’t feeling well.
It all hints at a deeper conflict brewing. If Torres discussed his feelings directly with Jimmy – that would be a whole new level of confusion.
Jesse and Torres do have a connection, but it’s platonic. Chasing something more could jeopardize their friendship, Jimmy’s affection, and the entire team’s dynamic. I hope the show doesn’t go down this road.
Now, where is yes The chemistry – I’ve said it before – is the chemistry between Parker and Jesse.
Their connection has been undeniable ever since they were stuck on that ship together last season.
They’re all part of the “new team,” unencumbered by the traditions of the old NCIS, so they see things differently than everyone else.
If there’s anyone Parker would open up to about Lily’s secret, it’s Jesse.
There’s no doubt that their intimacy will only deepen, but whether it will become a “thing” is anyone’s guess.
It’s sure to cause a stir – and while it’s fun to watch, I’m not sure anyone really wants to see their working relationship turn into a full-blown romance.
