Prime Video has released the first trailer for its upcoming dark comedy series The Sticky, which centers on an epic maple syrup heist.
The series stars Margo Martindale as Ruth Landry, a tough, middle-aged maple syrup farmer who becomes devastated when bureaucratic authorities threaten to take away everything she loves. She started committing crimes.
In the story, “She teams up with a hot-tempered Boston gangster (Chris Diamantopoulos), and a courteous French-Canadian security guard (Guillaume Cyr) conducted a multi-million dollar robbery of Quebec’s maple syrup surplus.
The play is adapted from the real Canadian maple syrup robbery, but the trailer clearly states that “this is definitely not a true story.”
Looks like a fun show! The series is executive produced and showrunners by Brian Donovan and Ed Herro.
Other actors include Gita Milier, Guy Nadon, Michael Guin, Susan Clement, Mark O’Brien, Megwin Fair Brothersand Vicky Papafusand Jamie Lee Curtis Appears in a guest role.
The series will have six half-hour episodes and will premiere on December 6.
