Warner Chappell Music Korea has appointed Sophia Hong as Managing Director, effective immediately.
She will be based in Seoul and report to Arica Ng, president of Warner Chappell Music Asia Pacific.
In this role, Hong will be responsible for the company’s music publishing business in South Korea, focusing on “enhancing” its market presence and driving overall business performance.
She will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans and identifying growth opportunities in mature and emerging markets.
Sophia brings extensive experience in the technology and intellectual property industries in corporate and start-up environments.
She has held key leadership positions in well-known organizations in the United States and Asia, including Kakao Corp, MTV, Nickelodeon and Sesame Workshop.
