Warner Chappell Music, the publishing arm of Warner Music Group, has promoted Daniel Lang to senior vice president of global social relations and digital rights.
The appointment expands Lang’s responsibilities to include oversight of the American Collection Association while maintaining its existing international operations.

He joined Warner Chappell in 2017. Amazon, Deezer, Facebook, Spotify, and Youtube. He previously served as Vice President of Digital Licensing for EMEIA. His most recent role was Vice President, International Digital Licensing and Social Relations, a position he held starting in 2021.
His promotion comes at a time when digital revenue streams are becoming increasingly important to songwriters around the world.

“Digital revenue has never been more important to songwriters, and over the past few years, we have worked with collecting societies to significantly improve their business practices in the pursuit of transparency and efficiency, although there is still much work to be done,” Long explain.
Within his expanded responsibilities, Lang will work with Natalie crazyThe executive vice president of global digital will streamline the digital rights process for publishers and increase transparency for songwriters around the world, the company said.
He will also retain his position as the company’s chief representative, involved in international negotiations with major digital service providers.
“It’s great to be at the center of negotiations with DSPs to ensure they continue to provide appropriate value to our songwriters as the service grows. These discussions are two sides of the same coin, and it’s very useful to span both sides,” Long said.

Long’s promotion comes amid a recent wave of senior executive changes across Warner Chappell Music’s global operations.
In Korea, Sophia Hong was appointed managing director on Tuesday (October 29). Last month, WCM made a number of appointments within its European A&R team. Marion Scogseth Promoted to Nordic A&R Manager, and Zheng Guorong Appointed as Senior A&R Manager. In Germany, Jost Kaiser Rejoined the company as Director of A&R Dance International.
August, David Goldson Promoted to Senior Vice President of North America A&R, and at the same time Dadang In July, he was appointed Vice President of A&R and Creative for Asia Pacific.
