Maika Monroe (long legs) will star in a film titled ” bridewhich will be Chloe OkunoHe previously collaborated with Monroe on the thriller “Watchmen.”
The film is set in Italy in the 1960s and stars Monroe as Sally Bishop. The story follows Sally as she and her husband travel to a remote villa after she suffers a nervous breakdown.
“The owner of the villa is a mysterious Count who has a special interest in Sally. But when Sally’s feminist mayhem is added to his perfect, violent vampire bride Eden, he gets much more than his expected.
The film is described as a “gothic, captivating and bloody” story that will “turn Bram Stoker’s narrative on its head, exploring the struggle between social repression and carnal desire.”
Producer Anthony Bregman said in a statement: “The Bride will redefine the horror genre through Okuno’s unique blend of feminist themes and gory visuals.
“The script is vibrant and disturbing in every way. Chloe always brings fear and complexity to her characters, and we can’t wait to work with her and Maika to bring Sally back to life or immortality, as the case may be. Certainly.
This sounds like a fun horror movie project and I hope the creative team ends up making a really cool and scary vampire horror movie!
