official Godzilla The social media account announced a brand new Godzilla Filming of the movie has officially started!
Yamazaki Takashi (Godzilla minus one) will return to write and direct the next Godzilla He will also be responsible for all visual effects for Toho’s film.
There aren’t many details on the project, but you can watch the official “Emergency Announcement” video below!
This is so exciting! I think this will serve as a sequel to Godzilla Minus One. Yamazaki previously said of the sequel:
“If I were to direct the next Godzilla movie, I’d want to do a sequel to this one. There have been two separate Godzilla movies back-to-back, so maybe the next one needs to feature the villainous monster.”
He also explained that he wanted to make a Monsters vs. Monsters movie that was actually good, saying, “I don’t know if anyone has achieved a more serious Monsters vs. Monsters tone with a human drama, and that challenge was something I Explore what you want.
He went on to add: “When your movie starts with [kaiju battles]I think it’s easy to put the spotlight and the camera on this huge spectacle, and it takes away from the human drama component.
