In October, Konami released its latest core booster set Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading card game: Wrath of the Abyss. This set is one that many duelists are hyping up.
The new Mimighoul support is actually pretty good, Mulcharmy Fuwalos, Millenium Deck’s Blue Eyed Heart, the new Max Metalmorph archetype, and more.
Honestly, it’s a really good combination. Thankfully, Konami was kind enough to send me a box to open, which you can watch at the bottom. I know quite a lot Yu-Gi-Oh! The sets haven’t been doing well lately, but in my opinion they’re pretty consistent with the core sets being at least “decent”. And, it’s not even a green suit! Where did you get your chase card? Wrath of the Abyss?
Now, there are a lot of other works Yu-Gi-Oh! News that I haven’t been able to share so far but I want to talk about. First off, I know many of us duelists are excited about the new structure decks! Yingshi
Structure Deck: Blue Eyes White Destiny Scheduled to be released on February 7, 2025, with a suggested retail price of $11.99, it contains 51 cards centered around the Blue Eyes White Dragon.
Unfortunately, Maggia the Dragonlord doesn’t appear to be reprinted in it, but fans are hoping the new cards will help bring Blue Eyes back into the meta scene.
The three main new cards (White Maiden, Blue-Eyed Wish, and Blue-Eyed Ultimate Spirit Dragon) are all ultra-rare, and a second copy of one of the three cards in each deck is a secret rare (even Quarter Century Secret Rare) if you’re lucky).
Honestly, I thought Konami was going to do something mean and break up the deck in some side sets, which is something they’ve done before, so I was surprised when they announced the structure deck.
