Jason Kelsey apologizes for what he did over the weekend. We’re going to go over what he said on the pregame show last night on Monday Night Football and we’re going to talk about all of that right now.
So let’s get started with the biggest news of the day. Obviously, we know what today is, a very important day for the country, which is the return of The Action on Tuesday night college football. that’s right. Tonight we host Bowling Green in central Michigan. The Falcons take on the Chippewas to light up the chips, then Ohio State-Miami takes on Ball State.
Actually I’m kidding. It’s election night. I voted a week and a half ago. So if you haven’t voted yet, go out and vote. Because this is important. So I’ve heard, you know, I’m not going to talk about politics on this podcast. I follow politics, at least not to a die-hard level, and I often read bills online. No, I’m just using common sense.
I have voted for both political parties in the past. This is what I do. I will not let party lines dictate where I vote. Kind of a crazy concept, but I use my brain and I just decide, do I like this or do I like this? Do I like this or do I like this? It’s not that because I’m a member of a political party, they tell me that’s what I’m supposed to vote for.
On some things I am liberal and on some things I am conservative. So every election, I decide who I like better and vote for that person. It’s that simple. I don’t talk about it on my show. I won’t impose it on anyone. I’m not going to tell anyone what they should do with their ballot.
I don’t care. Honestly, your vote doesn’t affect me in any way, shape, or form. I don’t know what’s going to happen tonight. We’ll see what happens. You know, I, I hope, if things go one way, that’s the end of it. If that were the case, then we wouldn’t have to hear about it again, but unfortunately, I have a feeling that’s not going to happen.
So basically I just, I just don’t want to, I just. Don’t want us to get into a situation with so much infighting. I guess this will always happen. The country seems increasingly divided. It was so frustrating to deal with. That’s why I don’t follow politics, because it’s almost impossible for me to hope that you can have a civil conversation with someone who disagrees with you, but it’s very difficult, especially in times like these.
So, you know, we’ll see what happens tonight. and. Go from there. I have no idea. Obviously, if you’re reading one side of it, they’re like, oh my gosh, this is going to be a blowout. Then the other party will say, no, if this continues, there will be a blowout. Like, okay, well, it can’t be blown.
You know, you can’t have an outburst on both sides, but that’s the way politics is going. Both sides are telling you what you want to hear. That’s why I decided, look, every four years, I’m going to think deeply about, who do I like more? Just start there. So let’s see what happens tonight.
I would watch “King John King” because the guy would tell me about a county in Pennsylvania that had 807 counties and a population of 876 people, and he could tell me how they voted in 1974. Watch cracking all night long. I don’t know how he did it on election night, but I remember four years ago, I was up at three or four in the morning watching this guy, this guy was destroying the county, and I knew that Kornacki was doing it for another county of.
Some of you are Steve Kornacki fans, and that’s great. I’m being fair to the King because number one, the stats he gave me were just insane. Second, he has to work with his ex-wife, her name is DANA, you can’t call her Dana. Call me Dana, the reality is that John King had to work with his ex-wife for hours on end on election night. Yeah, my friends and I joked on election night that we were going to text each other all night long, but yeah I’ll be watching Kings tonight because the guy brought up something about Hey, look at this county down here and then you know, they had the majority in 1978, wow, man, you know, so many counties.
It’s kind of like what I know about the 88 Dodgers, or The Karate Kid from Back to the Future, just giving you meaningless information, not that the stuff is meaningless, but it’s amazing how he can get it out of his Pulling these things out overhead, it’s like, oh yeah, 88, that’s how they voted. But in the 90s.
You know, in ’96, that’s how they voted. What? How do you remember that? I’m not talking about New York City. I’m talking about, like I said, some county in northeastern North Carolina or something like that, you know, he’s great. One thing about the golden bachelorette. So when I posted the first spoiler (I think it was a week or two after filming), it was over.
I said Joan was obviously with a man, and then I changed that. I think this is right. It was morning. Maybe on the Monday or Tuesday before Joan’s season started, I said she and Chalk were together, but one thing I didn’t know was if she was engaged. In the last six weeks, because people have asked me, do you have any updates?
One thing about Instagram that drives me crazy is that you can’t go into old posts and add content. You actually have to make a whole new post. And, you know, you look at my Instagram feed and it says Bachelorette spoilers and it says, you know what I posted in the first week of the season, she wrote it in chalk.
I don’t know if she’s engaged. I’ve mentioned this in the podcast, but again, not everyone listens to the podcast every day, so they can’t take in every message I have. I know I asked this question at some point in the last six or seven weeks. Why gold with red continues to be a hit. Joan is getting engaged in chalk.
This shouldn’t be news. In the last seven weeks, I don’t know, I’ve mentioned it twice, maybe three times here or there. At one point I found out that she was definitely engaged, but yes, she was engaged and they were still together. I don’t know what their life plan is. We’ll find out after the last Rose Chalk lived in Indiana, and as far as we know, she was in Washington.
So I don’t know if he’s going to move there. She certainly wasn’t moving to Indiana. So maybe they’ll find a home. Get close to her or something. I don’t know, but we’ll find out. I’m sure after the Night of the Last Rose finale, it definitely will be. Speaking of a mix of Golden Bachelorette and Golden Bachelor. I mentioned this and I believe yesterday, or maybe last weekend, there was a picture of Leslie FEMA who finished 2nd on Gary’s season and Jordan Heller who finished 4th on Jones’ season ) photos where they are seen together.
They did a photo together and Leslie appeared on the Almost Famous podcast and I got a shout-out from her. Thank you, Leslie. She shouted this out loud. Myself, Ben, and Ashley were the only podcasters to pronounce her name correctly. This is not Leslie. This is Leslie. I saw LESLI E. Some people say Leslie, but I think I’ve always, honestly, I don’t even know I’m pronouncing Leslie.
I think I am because of her. Shout out to me on their podcast. Thank you, Leslie, or you’re welcome, Leslie. I appreciate it. But they asked her, hey, what’s going on with you and Jordan? You took a photo together. She said he had a suite at a soccer match in Los Angeles, where he was a childhood friend and was like the president of the club.
He had a suite and he invited her. She’s already in Los Angeles because she’s recording a prom with the stars for Joey and Jen. So she said they’ve been texting since that game. She didn’t know they weren’t dating, but they still kept in touch. ‘I don’t know where it’s going to go,’ she said.
If it were to go, I just think he’s a great guy. It was good for me to be friends with him first. She said, I like Jordan. When I watch this show, I like him the most. I think all the people are great. If it were me, if I were the Bachelorette and he was on that show, you know, what would you think.
So, I don’t think it’s that far-fetched to think that these two will end up together. She also said they were all Jewish. At the end of the day, this is important to me too. It’s not a tough stop, but if you meet someone and they are, that’s just the icing on the cake. So, she was in Minnesota and he was in Chicago, very close to each other.
They started talking after watching a football game together in Los Angeles. No, there’s nothing wrong with that. They seemed to have met before. They have a lot in common. They are all Jewish. She thinks it’s a big deal, or it’s not a big deal to her, but it’s definitely an added bonus.
