Recently there is news that Godzilla minus one Screenwriter and Director Yamazaki Takashi is returning to direct another Godzilla Toho’s movie.
Well, it turns out that the filmmaker was offered many other directing opportunities after the success of his first film. Godzilla He turned down all the movies just to make this new film Godzilla Film project.
I mean, after the incredible work he did on the first movie, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Toho and Yamazaki teams working together again.
In an interview with Cinema Today in Japan, Yamazaki shared his excitement for the new project, saying, “We’re going to make a new Godzilla movie!”
“I’m here to tell you that I can’t announce any more about this new movie. I’m really happy to see the excitement. I’m also happy that there are so many kids here.
“Godzilla has gradually become an adult thing, so having more kids as fans and the next generation growing up is really a good thing for the future of Godzilla.”
The filmmaker continued: “Godzilla Minus One was going a little too well and there were a lot of snags. Thinking about it, I think it was probably the worst draw.
“I’ll try my best! I’m starting to receive all kinds of great [film] The offers…I couldn’t tell you what they were. I turned them down, in tears of blood, because they were making a new Godzilla movie.
Apparently, Yamazaki has a strong connection to Godzilla and he didn’t want to miss the chance to make another Godzilla movie.
While I’m excited to see him return to the world of Godzilla, I also can’t wait to see him do other things. I have no doubt that after his next gig he will receive many more offers. Godzilla Movie.
