Idris Elba (Suicide Squad, Luthor) will star in a new action thriller Falling weightbeing Charles Rowan (Oppenheimer’s “The Dark Knight” trilogy) and Madison Verrett (justice league) Produced with Elba for Atlas Entertainment (Luther: Son of the Fall) and Gina Carter (look how they run).
The plot synopsis reads: “Mike (Elba) is the best at what he does, driving a massive truck across the country and adopting a ‘no questions asked’ policy on the goods he transports.
“When he takes his tenacious teenage daughter to work, they are stalked and attacked by a ruthless group of criminals who will stop at nothing to protect the goods he has been entrusted to deliver.
“With a ruthless killer on the hunt and the police hot on their trail, Mike and his daughter must work together to prevent their cargo from falling into dangerous hands and survive to see another day.”
The film will be produced by Simon HartJames Gunn’s former assistant and later co-producer suicide squad and executive producer Guardians of the Galaxy. He also wrote the script based on his own short film.
