The Actor Album Chart ranks the best-selling Actor albums of the week in the U.S. based on traditional album sales, according to data tracking company Luminate. The Nov. 9 listing reflects the tracking week ending Oct. 31.
Sunset Strip. is a reinterpretation of the stage musical sunset stripthe play premiered in London’s West End in 1993 and landed on Broadway in New York the following year. The musical, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Christopher Hampton and Don Black, is based on the Oscar-winning 1950 film sunset strip Starring Gloria Swanson as faded screen star Norma Desmond.
new revival Sunset Strip. The play premieres at the Savoy Theater in London’s West End on October 21, 2023, starring Scherzinger (Desmond), Tom Francis (Joe Gillis), Grace Hoggett-Young (Betty Shaffer) and David Thaxton (Max von Mayerling) star. The West End run runs until January 6, 2024.
Sunset Strip: The Album The song was recorded live at the Savoy Theater during the show’s critically acclaimed run and will be released for purchase on CD, vinyl and digital download on October 25.
