Featherweight takes center stage at Sueños Festival
Mexican music star Peso Pluma will return to Sueños in 2025 to headline the Chicago Music Festival, after his headline performance at Sueños this year was canceled due to thunderstorms. Peso, who will take place in Grant Park over Memorial Day weekend (May 24-25), is the first artist announced to perform at the two-day event, which is produced by La Familia Presented and C3 Presented. Additionally, Sueños announced an expansion of the festival grounds, which will include a new second stage and dance area with additional performance and DJ equipment. Rosalia gives back
Rosalia was spotted volunteering in Valencia after catastrophic flash floods in Spain that killed more than 200 people. Videos and photos posted in local media and on social media captured the Spanish singer-songwriter without makeup, wearing her hair in a messy bun, and wearing a mask, gloves and a black T-shirt as she served food to communities affected by the severe storm. scene. Celebrating Afro-Latinx excellence
On Tuesday (November 5), Brazil hosted its fourth annual Potências Awards in São Paulo, honoring iconic figures and influential voices in the black community. Cross-cultural carnival
To expand into new global markets, Colombian urban artists Kevin Roldan and Valka teamed up with Japanese pop producers DJ Dr. Royo and OZworld. Produced by Royo, the cross-cultural collaboration is a hard-hitting reggae song with oriental melodies, sung in Spanish and Japanese. Roldan belts out his signature raspy voice about working hard and living the dream in Japan: “KR has arrived in Tokyo, feeling the pressure,” he sings, while OZworld smoothly spits out intense rap bars in Japanese. Maura is going to be a dad!
Mora is the latest Latin urban artist to announce that he is going to be a father. The Puerto Rican artist and producer shared the exciting news in a joint post with his partner, Paula Poletti, in which they showed off a photo of three hugs and a sonogram. The description of “+1” is just a simple explanation. Colleagues including Justin Quiles and Sky Rompiendo took to the comments to send their best wishes to the soon-to-be parents.
