Kid Rock is celebrating Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 US presidential election in his signature over-the-top style.
The 53-year-old musician (real name: Robert James Rich) shared a video on Instagram on Friday (November 8) offering two distinct reactions to the election results: one comes from his A legend on stage, another one comes from his performances.
The approximately two-minute video, titled “Official Election Reaction: Kid Rock vs. Bob Ridge,” begins with the rocker’s infamous bad boy persona. The rocker dramatically celebrated Trump’s victory over Vice President Kamala Harris in a fiery red jumpsuit, cigar in hand and a white MAGA hat. In true Kid Rock fashion, he dropped the mic, grabbed his crotch, and turned off the camera.
The video then cuts to a more subdued moment for Bob Ritchie, with the singer ditching his stage persona for a casual Detroit Tigers hat, plain white T-shirt, green shorts and wristbands. He struck a more reflective tone as he sat on a wooden chair and his 2017 song “American Rock” played in the background.
“First, let me convey to my family, friends and supporters that this is not the time to gloat,” the singer said, alongside images of the American flag and nearby homes. “We have to remember that most of our left-leaning friends are good people who pursue the same goals in life that we do, but just have different ideas about how to get there.”
The scene cuts to footage of Rock performing live as he declares, “It’s time to be the bigger man, extend an olive branch, and unite all the reasonable people of this great country.”
The tone then turned more patriotic, with the video cutting to footage of Trump passionately chanting “fight” after an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
“God bless America, and together with President Trump we will make America great again,” Locke concluded.
The video ends with a trailer for the musician’s Rock the Country 2025 tour, a 10-date tour billed as “We the People’s Festival.” The tour will launch in Livingston, Louisiana, on April 4-5 and conclude in Anderson, South Carolina, on July 25-26. See more details here.
In addition to Rock, Trump’s 2024 campaign has also secured big names like country stars Jason Aldean and Billy Ray Cyrus as well as celebrities like Amber Rose, Savannah Chrisley, Caitlyn Jenner, Dr. Phil, Elon Musk, Kanye West, Joe Rogan and more recognition.
