The Goonies It’s a classic that featured many of its young stars who went on to become some of Hollywood’s best actors. Among them are Josh BrolinIn addition to being known as Marvel’s most evil villain to date, he has been nominated for an Academy Award and has appeared in a number of critically acclaimed dramatic roles such as No place for old people, milk, true courage, labor day,etc.
Brolin, the son of Emmy Award-winner James Brolin, got hooked on acting in high school and knew it was his calling ever since.
So when he got his first role as brother Brand in “The Goonies,” he was ready to jump into the role. This led to him perhaps taking the role a little too seriously, but it led to a bit of a lesson for the filmmakers, Steven SpielbergBrolin will never forget.
Speaking to People magazine ahead of the release of his memoir Under the Truck , the actor remembered Steven Spielberg abandoning his hyper-intelligent approach to the teen character.
“I think [my character] Brandon is horrified that the tunnels represent the inside of his mother’s womb and he is trying to cut the umbilical cord.
“He looked at me and said, ‘Yeah, do it. Just say what’s on the page,'” Brolin said. “He’s not a jerk, he’s right.”
Brolin went on to call his role in The Goonies “probably the greatest experience of my life,” adding: “That was a moment that never should have happened to me when I was 16. I was kicked out Home door.
“I went to live on my dad’s couch, and he was living with someone at the time, and like, I had to get my shit together. And then after 350 or whatever auditions, people were like, ‘You should definitely find a different guy. career. You’re not good at it and love the challenge.

“A family of criminals hunt them down, hoping to steal a treasure for themselves. The film, directed by Richard Donner and written by Chris Columbus, is based on Spielberg’s story.
Brolin’s memoir, “From Under the Truck,” was released on November 19.
