How to create a demo volume using Aircheck.
by Justin Mobley
You’ve recorded yourself and booked the job, your scene has finally aired, and now you’re ready to assemble your demo reel. The only problem is that you don’t know how to get the footage, and I understand your frustration with the process. Well, I’m here to show you how and Tell you where to get your materials. Surprisingly, it’s all on Actors Access! This is a reel deal.
On Actors Access, you can use their “Aircheck” service to get standard or HD quality edits of all your shots. Convenient, legal and fast. I have used this service several times and I highly recommend it.
The first thing you need to do is log into your Actor Access account. Next, highlight or click the “Services” tab between the “Auditions” and “Contact Us” tabs. Third, scroll down and click on the Aircheck option. On the Aircheck page you will see details of the service and fee options available to you. Here, you can get a “flat rate clip”: a scene from your performance, in SD ($35) or HD ($45). You will receive edited and unedited clips, as well as high-resolution photos (PNG) that can be uploaded to any platform. This works great for sites like IMDB.
Once you’ve decided on the services you need, fill out the Aircheck data sheet and the “Scenarios to Upload” section. Here, you must provide specific information about your place in the show or movie. For example, the location of the scene, character names, description of the scene, wardrobe and/or body movements. You don’t have to fill in all the boxes in this section, just make sure to provide as much information as possible. After placing your order, you will receive a confirmation email immediately. That’s it! This is a great way to assemble the scroll yourself or have someone sew your newsletter scroll together.
I hope this information is helpful and useful to you!
