It’s been a long and bumpy journey, but the future for Days of Our Lives is promising.
Lead actresses Susan Seaforth Hayes (Jolie) and Deidre Hall (Marlina) recently confirmed in interviews that the ridiculous “Body and Soul” storyline will be taken over by new writers time is over, or even earlier.

This stupid meta storyline has been nauseating viewers for weeks, and now it’s the cast and crew’s turn.
Seriously, this sounds like a repeat of the toxic cookie crap.
Why do these things always happen to Chanel? She is such a positive and broad-minded person, so please stop poisoning her and ruining her career, okay?
These types of storylines also tend to lead to people losing their inhibitions and hooking up with someone they really want to be with (see Eric and Nicole in The Toxic Cookie Story ) or telling a secret they’ve been trying to keep.
Does anyone else think the illness was the cause of Johnny’s relationship with Joey being exposed as well?
The secret has to come out somehow, and if the illness is caused by everyone being high, then this would be the perfect (but very predictable) way to do it.

More Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 11/18/24 reveal that this one-night stand story isn’t over yet, as Johnny’s guilt should continue to grow until he’s close to his breaking point.
So unless someone overhears Johnny and Joey arguing about it on the set of Body and Soul, it’s unlikely the secret is out yet.
The story goes that Johnny keeps telling Joey that he wants to tell Chanel and Joey wants him to keep quiet so Chanel doesn’t hate her forever.
It would be foolish to talk about it (like Body and Soul) where others can hear it. I will never understand why Salem residents keep insisting on doing this.
Is Joey on drugs?
One possibility is that the poisoning was an accident when someone’s personal medication got into the actor’s food.
Many soap opera stars have had drug problems behind the scenes over the years, so former head writer Ron Kalivati may have decided to incorporate that into the storyline for Body & Soul
There’s an oddly worded spoiler that says, “Joy is sharing lines with Alex.” This could mean she’s running Line with Alex.
However, the “line” sounds like the two of them were on cocaine or speed.
I hope not. Days of Our Lives doesn’t do a good job of telling addiction stories, and any drug storyline these days is probably going to be tied to this stupid intoxication story.
But considering Joey is known to be a troublemaker and Body and Soul has toxic drama, I wouldn’t be surprised if the spoiler means exactly what it says.
Harvey won’t listen to Gabi talk about Leo, which isn’t to say the relationship will last
Love is in the air…sort of.
Gabi has warned Harvey about Leo, but he refuses to listen.
Now, Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 11/18/24 reveal that the two will grow closer, leaving Gabi even more annoyed.
Unfortunately, this is Salem, so the newlyweds will be happy for about five seconds.

I’d love to know what this means.
Harvey must tell Leo a secret that somehow got out. Leo was considered a gossip columnist but reportedly gave that up to become the head writer for Body & Soul.
It’s funny how Harvey “loves a bad boy” when Gabby warns him about Leo, but the second he says the bad boy may have revealed his secret and he’s ready to end the relationship.
In Salem, it doesn’t seem to govern your age. Once things go wrong in a relationship, everyone reverts to their teenage self.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 11/18/24 reveal that JJ and Gabi will be close again
I’m not sure how I feel about the JJ/Gabi hookup.
I didn’t like the last time they were together, especially after JJ “cheated” in one of their encounters with Lani, which would have been labeled “if the guy was too drunk to remember anything being female” “Involuntary” label.
Gabby keeps accusing him of having “blackout sex” with her love rival, which makes no sense since a drunk person can’t consent.
Also, as JJ pointed out the other day, Gabby used an app to control Julie’s pacemaker and threaten her health in order to get revenge on her.
Still, this is indeed a different Gabby—a different actress at a different time in her life. Gabby must have been in a revenge-seeking state at the time.
So far, she seems to be avoiding behavior that would lead to her being labeled the next generation of Sami Brady. She’s not mad at Jada for “stealing” Rafe’s job, so maybe she’s serious enough about making changes to be worthy of JJ.
Cat has an idea on how to trap Clyde
Um…really?
Sorry, but the only thing about the Cats storyline that interested me was JJ trying to talk some sense into Chad.
I could see what was going on from a mile away. Chad and Kate will truly fall in love with each other and work together to defeat Clyde.
I won’t send either of these.
They have no chemistry, Kate pretends to be Chad’s dead wife to cheat on him instead of telling anyone, and a man in the maximum security prison threatens to harm her mother if she doesn’t take part in the scam.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 11/18/24 predict an awkward encounter between Philip and Stephanie
This should be fun!
Philip and Stephanie were from a few years ago. They’re not very memorable, at least not to me. The only thing that stuck with me was that Stephanie was kidnapped while on a date with Phillip.
A few years later, new actors took over both roles, and I was curious about their chemistry.
Philip reconciled with Chloe before he last left town, but has now broken up with her for seemingly no reason (supposedly Vivian warned him, and he listened – what?).
However, whatever chemistry these two have now, Stephanie is starting to gravitate toward Alex again, so the best they can do is develop a love triangle.
Sarah tries to walk after completing treatment
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 11/18/24 will see Sarah trying to take her first steps.
In fact, even if the miracle serum worked, she would need physical therapy to be able to walk again after being in a wheelchair for several months.
Then again, there’s no such thing as an experimental serum injected into the spine to reverse paralysis, so we can’t ask for too much reality.
I look forward to Sarah learning to walk again, even though I don’t like the ableist message that “people in wheelchairs can’t be good parents.”
