Konami recently released A Quarter-Century Bonanza for Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading card game. Since its announcement, Duelists have believed that the set was actually just renamed (for unknown reasons) Rarity Collection 3.
The first two rare collector sets are RA01 and RA02. I still don’t understand A Quarter-Century Bonanza Name. That said, the series has quite a bit to offer a variety of duelists.
There are some great staples in there, like the S:P Knight and the Triple Tactical Thrust, as well as pretty much staples like the Campfire. In addition, both the main card pool and the nostalgic card pool have exciting cards from all over the world. Yu-Gi-Oh!Help people flesh out the history of decks for various Time Wizard formats.
I personally think A Quarter-Century Bonanza is a good setup Rare Collection 2 That number may be higher due to nostalgia (the jury is still out). Once again I think the annual tin set needs to be integrated with the rare collectible figures. S:P was just reprinted in the 2024 can and people thought she wouldn’t be in A Quarter-Century Bonanza So they still paid $40-$50 for her, and now you can buy a copy for about $8. This left some duelists feeling cheated, as it launched less than two months before its official launch A Quarter-Century Bonanza.
Let’s talk briefly about the nostalgia pool. This is the second pool of 200 cards covering all regions Yu-Gi-Oh!The history is cool, and thankfully they limited it to only one card per pack, which helps it not feel too watered down. Additionally, they’ve made sure every card in this pool is a deluxe secret rare, further increasing the value.
The problem, of course, is that the card pool is huge, and if you buy a box of Quarter Century Bonanza, you only get 24 cards from the pool. If you’re looking for any particular card, these aren’t very likely. Missing a slot also means your chances of drawing the cards you want from the main set are reduced.
I’m really confused by this because I thought there was a lot of “cool” about the concept, but in practice it ended up being a bit disappointing.
Still, I was excited to open the box Konami sent me (big thanks to them!). You can watch it below, and I’d love to hear your pull and chase cards in the comments below. However, I also want to take a moment to talk about some recent events Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG News.
Earlier this month, Konami announced a new Labyrinth set, Master’s Labyrinthto be released on March 14, 2025 (MSRP = $4.49 per pack), contains many fun strategies from different anime eras.
I’m most excited about Odion’s Egyptian and trap monster themes in Battle City. If they shine like The Doorman, they’ll be a lot of fun to play. Also, I think it’s interesting that the XYZ monsters used by Kaiba and Chaz are getting new support.
Do you think we’ll get more alphabet cannons? You can find more information about the various supported strategies below.
