Last night, the queens of Beverly Hills returned with all the glitz, glamor and inevitable chaos we love about them. The season opener gave us a lot to think about: strained friendships, personal revelations, and some surprising character growth. Let’s get into the plot, shall we?
Kyle and Dorit: Frenemies or just enemies?
The tension between Kyle and Dorit is actually the tension between the actors themselves in this episode. Dorit comes into this season ready to take no prisoners. Dorit arrives with a gun, clearly no longer interested in being anyone’s doormat – including Kyle. Love her or hate her, Dorit delivers a stellar performance, and she’s not holding back this season. If this episode is any indication, the other ladies better get ready, because Dorit is losing her patience and her fucking*. Case in point: She nonchalantly lights up a cigarette while driving, signaling that what we’re getting is a more raw, unfiltered version of Dorit than ever before.

Kyle, on the other hand, comes across as cold and calculating. Her attempt to defend herself overshadowing the infamous Amazon Live — in which she downplayed her friendship with Dorit — feels like a lame excuse. It seems like Kyle really doesn’t think Dorit is going to call her out. Big mistake. Dorit was clearly hurt, but she didn’t let that stop her from fighting back with her signature sharp tongue.
This isn’t just any ordinary housewives bickering – it feels real, raw and deeply personal. The two appear to be on the verge of a serious friendship breakdown. If they don’t find a way to resolve this issue, we could be witnessing one of the most heartbreaking splits in RHOBH history.
Erica: A new voice of reason?
Dorit’s marriage drama: heartbreaking yet relatable
Welcome, Bozoma!
Newcomer Bozoma St. John makes her debut and I have to say, she is already a breath of fresh air. Confident, stylish, and sharp, she holds her own in a room full of seasoned queens of chaos. She hasn’t gotten too deep into the drama yet, but you can tell she’s engrossed in it, assessing who’s worth her time. I have a feeling she’s going to be a powerhouse this season—just wait until she delivers her first shady quip.

Jennifer Tilly, Where Have You Been All Our Lives?
Jennifer Tilly is definitely a breath of fresh air on RHOBH and honestly, she’s everything we needed. Her quirky sense of humor, larger-than-life personality and ability to effortlessly dish out hilarity make her a compelling addition. Jennifer has a way of making the most tense moments lighten up, whether it’s telling a well-timed joke or playfully poking fun at the group’s more ridiculous antics. She’s self-aware enough not to take herself too seriously, able to blend into the charming chaos without getting bogged down in petty squabbles – at least not yet. Her energy is infectious and her presence feels like the perfect blend of hilarity and heart that will rock things this season.
Classic Kathy Hilton
Then there was the collapse of the name Bozoma. Casey hilariously misspells Bozoma’s name multiple times, but what’s even better? How dare she correct someone else’s pronunciation! This is Cassie at her peak: oblivious and utterly lovable. Moments like this are why we love her – she’s in her own world and it’s a joy to watch.
final thoughts
Season 19 is off to a great start, balancing heartfelt moments with the signature acerbity we all love. The fractured friendships, Dorit’s vulnerability, and Erica’s surprising intelligence are making for some interesting storylines. If this premiere is any indication, we’re in for a season filled with big emotional moments and even bigger battles. Buckle up – it’s going to be a bumpy (and awesome) ride!
I’d love to hear your thoughts! Do you like this new Dorit? What do you think of the new additions? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
