Sam Fender has announced that he will play a series of major stadium shows in the UK next summer.
The 30-year-old will play at the London Stadium (June 6) and Newcastle’s St James’ Park (June 12-14) next year after a sold-out tour of the UK and Ireland scheduled for December. Put on a show. The former will mark Fender’s first stadium show outside of his hometown and the biggest headline show of his career to date, with a capacity of 75,000.
The new dates will also mark the North Shields musician’s third and fourth performances at St James’ Park, having already sold out two nights here in 2022. The show dates were first revealed on Sunday, sharing a clip to his Instagram account of a saxophonist performing in the media area at St James’ Park.
All three shows will be supported by Mercury Prize-nominated singer CMAT, while Philly rock band The War On Drugs (who produced Fender’s new single ‘People Watching’) will appear on the London show and the second night of the Newcastle leg.

Last week (November 15), Fender confirmed the news of his third LP people watching (to be released on February 21 via Polydor Records) also shares its self-titled lead single. The single will debut in the top 10 of the Official UK Singles Chart later today (November 22).
Following the upcoming arena tour, Fender will perform at New York’s Webster Hall on February 11 before continuing on the second leg of the European tour through March 2025. Performing seven additional dates. He was also confirmed to appear at Germany’s Rock Werchter festival in early July, sparking talk of a possible return to Graston in Somerset, southwest England, a week earlier (June 25-29) Bury Festival rumors.
Fender releases his second record, The seventeen-year-old fellIn 2021, he topped the Official UK Albums Chart and launched a live album of his massive show at London’s Finsbury Park. Earlier this year, he collaborated with Noah Kahan on the joint single “Homesick.”
