Drake has officially announced his return to Australia for the Anita Max Wynn Tour, his first visit to the country in eight years.
The Canadian rap icon casually revealed the news during a livestream with gaming streamer xQc on Sunday night (November 24), revealing that the tour will kick off on February 9 and run until early March.
“For everyone watching in Australia, February 9th is the first time in eight years that I’m back in Australia. Back in Australia on tour,” Drake shared during the livestream. “Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast…February 9 until…March.”
While specific dates and locations have yet to be confirmed, Drake revealed that he will be appearing in major cities including Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast. However, the OVO rapper seems to have ruled out the possibility of heading “elsewhere.”

The timing of the tour’s launch is particularly noteworthy as it coincides with Kendrick Lamar’s highly anticipated Super Bowl halftime performance that day. Drake previously hinted at a return to Australia earlier this month, posting an old photo of himself in front of the Sydney Opera House on his Instagram Story and writing: “It’s been 7 years.”

Drake and Party announced their joint album in August when they performed on stage together in Toronto.
