Arcane’s animation studio Fortiche has received plenty of praise for its stunning animation, but this new reveal about one of its heartbreaking scenes is well worth learning!
Fortiche shared an image from the Season 2 X premiere scene, which features Caitlin (Katie Leung) mourns the loss of her mother after Jinx attacks the Piltover Council.
It comes with the note: “Did you know this Caitlin clip was entirely hand-drawn in charcoal?” A huge round of applause to our incredible artists who brought every detail to life! Illustrations by Fortiche artists Julien Georgel, Kevin Le Moigne and Anne-Laure To.
You can check out the image for yourself below, and be sure to notice that the only colors in the scene include the purple violets decorating Cassandra’s coffin and the red streaks in Vee’s hair.
